I’d love to invite you to a very special event on Saturday, November 16th, at 6 PM, honoring the Bengali luminaries, Dr Siddhartha Mukherjee, and my father, Amartya Sen. It will focus on the poetry of my mother, Nabaneeta Dev Sen, and will also pay tribute, through music and dance, to the legacy of Satyajit Ray and RD Burman.

Accompanying my poetry readings in Bengali and English will be a stunning Kathak recital, choreographed by Anindita Ganguly and performed by the Swapna Dance Academy. 

This unique and lovely program will take place at the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center. You can find all the details about it below. Parking is free and plentiful, and tickets are $25 (but need to be reserved in advance, as seats are limited). I do hope you are able to join me for what will be a special evening, as we celebrate the inspiring work of Bengali icons, including my mother Nabaneeta Dev Sen.
